A guide for parents

Information for parents

Everything you need to know about how we teach, care for and support your child, from application to the final day.

Why it matters

An investment with lasting returns

For students hoping to progress to leading universities, the pressure is on, both in academic attainment and in choosing the right degree.

Exploring a subject in depth outside the traditional classroom gives students the motivation and sense of direction to excel in their final years of school and in competitive university applications. Alongside subject knowledge, we develop the transferable skills employers and admissions tutors value: leadership, public speaking, active listening, collaboration and negotiation.

FAQs

Questions from parents

Ask the programme office

Can I apply on behalf of my child?

Yes. Choose “Parent / guardian” at the start of the application form. For students under 18, we ask for a parent or guardian’s contact details and consent.

Who looks after students during the programme?

Resident deans live on site and provide 24/7 supervision. Depending on the age group, students are accompanied by experienced staff and mentors during programme activities.

How can I contact my child or the staff?

Parents have access to a dedicated 24-hour hotline to reach their child or programme staff at any time.

What is included in the fee?

Tuition, college accommodation, meals, programme activities and excursions, and Heathrow airport transfers. International flights, UK visa fees, travel insurance and personal expenses are not included.

Does my child need a visa?

This depends on nationality. Once a place is confirmed, we provide documentation to support the visa application.

Where can I read the terms and student rules?

Please read our Terms & Conditions and Student Code of Conduct before confirming a place. Students are asked to agree to the Code of Conduct when they apply.

What happens on arrival?

Students should arrive on the official start date. Those using the included transfer are met at Heathrow and taken to their college. Detailed arrival guidance is shared before the programme.
